SUMMARY:

This paper aims to analyze the indices of economic growth and economic development of the states of Rondônia and Acre in the period from 1970 to 2020, through the historical process of socioeconomic formation. Understanding how the economies of the states were formed and also the theories and concepts that influenced the public policies of development and growth for the region are an important part of the analysis process. To this end, we used bibliographic research, as well as secondary data collected from official databases. The indices analyzed were GDP, GDP per capita, GINI, HDI, infant mortality and life expectancy at birth.
