ANCIENT HISTORY AND GENDER RELATIONS FROM THE DOM BOSCO MUNICIPAL SCHOOL
History Teaching. Antique. Amazon. Official documents. Courseware.
The purpose of this study, entitled Ancient History and gender relations, is to research the Official Teaching documents in comparison with the didactic materials and projects developed by the Dom Bosco Municipal School Located at Rua Rio Madeira, Nº. 699, Bairro São Domingos Sávio, in the city of Humaitá, in the State of Amazonas. The Official Teaching Curriculum is a guide to be followed for carrying out pedagogical actions in educational institutions, which is why it is important to research and study. We consider it of great relevance, as it is a theme that has already been debated in recent years, but that needs to be studied from a decolonial perspective. Based on this assumption, we will focus on the didactic subjects of that school. We will also use the textbook as one of the sources and establish its relationship with the Teaching of History, observing all the historical aspects contained in its content, the methodology, the bibliographical references, the theories, the selected images and the concepts used in the text about the Ancient History. Based on this principle, we will then develop our work focusing on the theoretical discussion of “historical consciousness” by Jörn Rüsen proposed by Estevão Martins (2019) and Wilian Barom (2019), on the concept of “textbook” by Itamar Freitas (2019) and on the discussion historiography of Ancient History in Brazil proposed by Gilberto Francisco (2017) and Norberto Guarinello (2010) and Colonialidade do Poder by Quijano (2008). Our main issue revolves around the issue of the possibility of thinking about an Ancient History of the Amazon or an Ancient History of Brazil based on the Princesa do Madeira Project.
