COMBINATORY ANALYSIS, STATISTICS AND PROBABILITY IN THE INITIAL TRAINING OF MATHEMATICS TEACHERS IN RONDÔNIA

This research aims to analyze what knowledge about Combinatorial Analysis, Statistics and Probability has been made possible in two face-to-face Mathematics Degree courses in the interior of Rondônia. For this purpose, the theoretical foundation discussed Combinatorial Analysis, Statistics and Probability (historical aspects, definitions, discussions expressed in the school curriculum and teaching strategies); and Initial Training of Mathematics teachers, making it necessary to turn to authors such as Morgado (2000); Costa (2011); Viali (2010); Pina and Gama (2020); Dellalibera et al (2018); Onuchic and Allevato (2005); Lima and Reali (2010); Leite (2016); Costa and Nacarato (2011), Mizukami (2004) among others. Methodologically, the research uses a qualitative field type approach. The context of the investigation is two Mathematics degree courses, one offered by UNIR – Campus de Ji – Paraná and the other by IFRO – Campus de Cacoal. The study participants are academics from these courses. Data production was carried out through the analysis of the Course Pedagogical Projects (PPCs), application of the questionnaire, semi-structured interview and field diary. In this version of the dissertation, data from only four subjects were presented. The data were presented and interpreted in three thematic axes, namely: Combinatorial Analysis, Statistics and Probability in the Mathematics Degree PPCs at UNIR/Ji-Paraná and IFRO/Cacoal; Knowledge built in initial training about what and how to teach Combinatorial Analysis, Statistics and Probability from the perspective of academics and Teaching Combinatorial Analysis, Statistics and Probability in Basic Education: considerations and projections of undergraduate students. At the end of the research, it is expected that the results will enable reflections on what knowledge is being provided during graduation in relation to the contents of Combinatorial Analysis, Statistics and Probability, therefore what are the contributions of this space in the training process of the related future Mathematics teacher to these contents.
