This research is the result of a critical-reflexive deepening amidst the concerns that are outlined in the guiding question: How does the presence, or absence, of Ethnomathematics in initial or continuing education influence the conceptions and practices of mathematics teachers at Escolas Família Agrícola ( EFA) of the State of Rondônia? Thus, the research aimed to investigate how the presence or absence of Ethnomathematics in teacher training influences the conceptions and practices of mathematics teachers at Escolas Família Agrícola (EFA) in Rondônia. To this end, some specific objectives were outlined: To verify evidence or absences of Ethnomathematics in the training of mathematics teachers who work in EFA; Identify conceptions of mathematics, rural education and mathematics teaching-learning by EFA mathematics teachers; To analyze how the practices of EFA mathematics teachers approach or distance themselves from the assumptions of Ethnomathematics in the development of their teaching activities related to teaching mathematics. The research is based on theorists such as: D'Ambrosio (2001, 2005, 2008, 2009, 2012), Knijnik et al. (2012), Barton (1996, 2006), Gimonet (2007), Nosella (2012), Gauthier et al (2013), Nóvoa (1999), Gatti (2010), Imbermón (2011), among others.
