(RE)SIGNIFICATION OF TEACHERS ABOUT MATHEMATICS TEACHING AND LEARNING IN EJA: ANALYSIS OF THE CONTRIBUTIONS OF CONTINUING TEACHING TRAINING IN THE MUNICIPAL PUBLIC EDUCATION NETWORK OF JI-PARANÁ/RO IN THE YEARS 2021 AND 2022

The general objective of this research is to investigate the contributions of continuing teacher training in the municipal public education network of Ji-Paraná/RO in the years 2021 and 2022 for the (re)signification of teachers about the teaching-learning of Mathematics in the Education of Youth and Adults (EJA). Methodologically, this is an investigation with a qualitative approach, of the field research type, duly approved by the Research Ethics Committee (CEP) on February 15, 2023, under number CAEE 1 66417122.2.0000.5300. The subjects of the research are six teachers who teach Mathematics in the EJA, belonging to the teaching staff working in the municipal public teaching network of Ji-Paraná/RO and who participated in formative moments of a continuous formation of teachers offered by the Municipal Secretary of Education of that municipality (SEMED/JP) in the period 2021 and 2022. As data production instruments, the investigation has resorted, up to the present moment, to a characterization questionnaire and semi-structured interviews with the research subjects, it is also expected to resort to carrying out of Focus Group with these subjects. The research has theoretical support from authors who deal with EJA (GADOTTI, 2013; HADDAD, DI PIERRO, 2000; SOARES, 2002), Mathematics Education in EJA (FONSECA, 2012; RIBEIRO, 2014; CARVALHO, 1995) and training teacher (NÓVOA, 1991; IMBERNON, 2010, 2012; CANDAU, 2003; GALINDO; INFORSATO, 2007; 2016), among other authors who dialogue with the research theme. In terms of theoretical contributions on the methodological aspects of the research, it draws mainly on Bogdan and Biklen (1994); Fiorentini and Lorenzato (2012); Gil (1999) and Ludke and André (2018). As it is in progress, specifically in the data analysis phase, the research still has no considerations to make at the present time.
