SUMMARY:

This is a description of an itinerary followed, a pilgrimage, attentive looks, in silence, in reflection on childhood, the child, the small child, the experience, the ways of seeing, listening and feeling the world of childhood. The writings are an invitation to take a stroll through the cartography of a walk with 19 5-year-old children from a pre-II class at an Early Childhood Education center enjoying and appreciating film and photographic images produced by the children using a cell phone, during meetings , through the various spaces of the institution. The walk took place with the children in meetings and interactions in a research experience. The path was marked by steps that were sometimes slow and short, sometimes long and hurried. It was also marked by stops, landings to rest, landings to appreciate the images full of potential. Images at a glance, out-of-focus, shaky, close-up, distant images, from different interests and angles. In the recesses, cracks, shortcuts, wide and narrow roads, encounters with DELEUZE and GUATTARI (2010) BARROS (2010, 2013), BENJAMIN (1984), KOHAN (2007), CHISTÉ (2015) CAMMAROTA (2021), LEITE (2011) . Images, voices, reactions, expressions, narratives, screams, laughter, pauses, silences and mathematics inspired and motivated an unarmed reading, without judgment of value, of right and wrong, but of strength, the power of childhood as a place of openness, inventiveness and experience. Experience research takes place between encounters, in the affects they provoke, in wanting to understand more about childhood, the child and their images and the mathematics that takes place.
