Family farming; Digital tools; Sustainability; Cooperativism.
The project aims to investigate the use and contributions of digital tools by family farmers linked to Coopercacoal, in Cacoal - Rondônia, based on the analysis of how digital technologies impact productivity, farm management, and the sustainability of agricultural practices. Thus, the research will start from the recognition of the centrality of family farming for rural development and the increasing digitalization of the countryside, taking the cooperative as a case study. Methodologically, it will adopt a mixed approach, of a quantitative and qualitative nature, as it will articulate bibliographic research and the application of questionnaires to cooperative members whose main activity is coffee production, for the descriptive and interpretative analysis of the data. In this way, it is expected to characterize the socioeconomic and productive profile of the families, the mapping of the main digital tools used for communication, management, marketing and means of payment, as well as the understanding of perceptions about benefits, limitations and challenges associated with the use of digital technologies, such as connectivity, costs, digital literacy and work organization. Based on this diagnosis, the study aims to formulate recommendations for strengthening the digital strategy in family farming, as it will support training actions, investments in infrastructure, and management practices aligned with sustainability, ESG, the Sustainable Development Goals, and the strengthening of cooperativism in family farming in Rondônia.
