SUMMARY:

K-Dramas are South Korean television productions that gained international prominence with the Korean Wave, reaching Asian countries and, above all, Western countries such as Brazil. In this context, this project investigates the representations of villains in the K-Dramas The Glory and Vincenzo, comparing them to the antagonists in the Brazilian soap operas Senhora do Destino and Avenida Brasil, focusing on how these narratives influence the perception of gender violence and contribute to the construction and normalization of stereotypes linked to women. The research uses gender studies, Bardin's Content Analysis (1997), and film analysis, seeking to understand how violence against these characters is justified and naturalized by the audience.
