SUMMARY:

This course conclusion work addresses the issue of access to justice for the deaf community within the scope of the Public Ministry of the State of Rondônia (MPERO).The problem that guides the research is about - what barriers are faced by the deaf community in accessing justice at the institutional level. Its general objective is to identify the actions and means undertaken by the MPRO in relation to access to justice for the deaf community, as well as to propose a solution that promotes communication accessibility in the institution. The justification is based on Law nº13.146/2015, which established the Law on Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities, aimed at ensuring and promoting equality, constitutional rights and freedoms for these people, in order to promote inclusion and citizenship. As for the methodology, the approach is qualitative, descriptive and exploratory. In order to reach the objective, the research was carried out in the Public Prosecutors' Offices of Porto Velho, capital of the state of Rondônia, in the Accessibility Commission, in the Department of Integrated Communication and in the Human Resources Management. The methodological procedures that were used for the research were: data collection through a questionnaire in digital media (Google Forms and Microsoft Teams) with 121 (one hundred and twenty-one) servers and 21 (twenty-one) prosecutors about the attendance in the different actions promoted by MPRO in the years 2016 to 2021; bibliographic and documentary for the presentation of the historical aspects of the person with deficiency, laws, resolutions, doctrines, ordinances and international norms; regarding the nature it is applied, since after collecting and analyzing the research, it presents the final product, whose proposal is the creation of a digital tool so that the deaf community can obtain information and register their demands in the Public Ministry, and that helps in the formation of a team of servers trained in service in Libras. It is concluded that, currently, within the scope of the Public Ministry of Rondônia, the deaf community has access to news published on the website through the automatic translator VLibras. On the other hand, at the administrative headquarters of the Public Ministry in Porto Velho, there is still no public policy for communication accessibility to the service of the deaf community, since there is no person qualified for translation and interpretation in the MPRO staff, as well as there is no technology assistance or cooperation with entities that provide accessibility.
