GOVERNANCE AND PUBLIC POLICIES IN THE ACCOMMODATION OF MINORS: Analysis of institutions in the Vale do Guaporé RegionInstitutional Reception. Public policy. Governance. Children and Adolescents.
The present work deals with the study of Governance practices in the execution of public policies, for which an analysis was made of the institutions in the Vale do Guaporé that shelter children and adolescents who are at risk. To contextualize the research, we outlined a bibliographical survey about public policies for welcoming children and adolescents and their historical development. We carried out observations at the shelters in the municipalities of Vale do Guaporé, with the aim of observing the institutional reception regulations and the problems presented by these institutions. As a methodology applied to the study, qualitative research with a descriptive approach and document analysis was adopted in conjunction with authors who address the issue of institutional governance. From the research, it was clear that the achievement of public policies for sheltering children and adolescents is directly related to the social vulnerability of their families and the lack of public policies aimed at reestablishing social and affective ties with institutionalized minors.
