SUMMARY:

This study focuses on the working conditions and perceptions of nursing professionals regarding their work in health cooperatives in the state of Rondônia. The research problem is to understand how nurses, nursing technicians, and nursing assistants perceive their professional role within health cooperatives, particularly with regard to working conditions, knowledge of cooperative rights and duties, and participation in the management processes of these organizations. The study also examines the changes that have occurred in the nursing labor market following the enactment of Law No. 14,434/2022, which established the national minimum wage for the profession. The overall objective is to analyze the perceptions of nursing professionals who work or have worked in health cooperatives in the state of Rondônia regarding working conditions, knowledge of cooperative principles, and institutional participation within these organizations. The relevance of this research stems from the need to broaden academic understanding of contemporary changes in labor relations within the health sector, thereby contributing to the debate on cooperativism, professional recognition, and the organization of work in nursing. The study is limited to the state of Rondônia and the period between 2020 and 2025. This is an empirical, applied study using a mixed-methods approach-predominantly qualitative-with an exploratory and descriptive focus. Data collection will be conducted via an anonymous electronic questionnaire, consisting of open-ended and closed-ended questions, made available to nursing professionals through non-probabilistic chain sampling, known as the snowball method. Quantitative data will be subjected to descriptive statistical analysis, while narrative responses will be examined through thematic analysis. The theoretical framework is grounded in studies on social recognition, work organization, cooperativism, and labor relations, with an emphasis on the contributions of Axel Honneth, Christophe Dejours, José Odelso Schneider, and Ricardo Antunes, as well as Brazilian cooperative and labor legislation applicable to the subject. The results are expected to provide insight into nursing professionals’ perceptions of their work experience in health cooperatives, identifying aspects related to working conditions, knowledge of cooperative rights, and institutional participation. As a technical output, an informational booklet will be developed for nursing professionals, containing guidance on cooperative principles, the rights and duties of cooperative members, and fundamental aspects related to professional practice in health cooperatives.
