SUMMARY:

This study evaluated the reaction of different acidic soils from Rondonia to the application of analytical grade calcium carbonate and commercial limestone, aiming to calibrate lime requirement estimation methods. Samples of Plinthosol, Oxisol, Ultisol, and Inceptisol were incubated with increasing doses of amendments, and their effects on soil pH were monitored.
