The present work had as objective to analyze the behavior of the thermal field in the city of Porto Velho / RO, during the climatic seasons locally known as winter and summer between September 2017 and October 2018. The study was based on the Rhythmic Analysis and the Urban Climate System. The procedures methodologies consisted of: a) the analysis of the rhythm of the atmospheric systems area of study, by means of the acquisition of data of the surface meteorological stations, images of GOES 13 and 16 satellites and synoptic charts; b) spatialization of the improved vegetation (EVI) and surface temperatures, from the image LANDASAT 8; and, c) monitoring the data of air temperature, relative humidity the air, altitude and traffic of vehicles, by means of two mobile transects that they traversed the city from northwest to southeast, and from southwest to northeast. Was a correlation test was carried out to identify the influences of the variables behavior during the day and the seasons of the temperatures. The partial results showed that the equatorial mass continental (mEc) and the South Atlantic Convergence Zone (SACZ) were the atmospheric conditions in the study area during the first campaign. During the performance of mEc, there was a small increase in air temperature and atmospheric pressure accompanied by reduction of the relative humidity of the air. Already, ZCAS promoted the instabilities that resulted in rainfall of not more than 4 mm. The cloudiness remained between a little to partially during the days of analysis of the climatic rhythm. At the concerning the behavior of the thermal field, there was a spatially deformed behavior of the most intense air temperatures in densely urbanized, mainly in the evening period, mainly, of the rapid absorption of heat by the built mass of homogeneous structure and, consequently, convection air heating.
