USE OF IOT AND ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN AQUAPONICS: A SUSTAINABLE ALTERNATIVE TO OPTIMIZE PRODUCTION IN THE AMAZON REGION.

The Amazon region occupies a large part of the national territory, but its economic contribution is very low compared to the area. This is due to the fact that most of the region's economy is based on the exploitation of natural resources, and one of the biggest challenges is how to exploit these resources sustainably, with greater efficiency and less destruction. In this context, the state of Rondonia has stood out in fish farming, mainly in the production of Tambaqui (Colossoma macropomum) and Pirarucu (Arapaima gigas). However, even with a significant production, it still faces the conventional problems of fish farming, such as the degradation of water bodies through excreta and leftover feed that are transformed into suspended organic matter, carbon dioxide, ammonia nitrogen, and other compounds. In view of this, this work seeks to investigate the feasibility of using aquaponic systems integrated with IoT in the region in terms of production efficiency and quality, using AI for data modeling.
