RESUMO:

The term sustainability has become a theoretical reference and vision of development since 1987, which indicates the needs of the present generation must be guaranteed without compromising the needs of future generations, encompassing a concept of development named sustainable development. Corporate sustainability was incorporated over time the economic activities with the internalization of this concept by parts of the institutions, as well as the financing and economic agents. This refers to the economic, social and environmental impact of productive activities, satisfying the gains and minimizing the social and environmental impacts, through the set of management practices in the economic activity. The objective of this study was to test a business sustainability model - Grid de Sustentabilidade Empresarial (GSE) - based on the environmental, social and economic dimensions of ceramics installed in the municipalities of Cacoal and Pimenta Bueno in the State of Rondônia. in the municipalities of Pimenta Bueno and Cacoal. The methodological steps are characterized by the exploratory research with a qualitative approach, as a function of the survey addressing the environmental sustainability indicators in the companies studied. Data collection will be based on primary and secondary data. The methodology applied in the research will be carried out in three stages, the first one to calculate the Partial Sustainability Scores (EPS), the second stage consists of the calculation of the Corporate Sustainability Scores (EPE) and the third and final step is the integration of the Partial Sustainability Scores with the Grid of Corporate Sustainability (GSE). With this research, it is hoped to build a theoretical and practical contribution of the Grid method of Corporate Sustainability (GSE) for ceramics industries in the municipalities of Cacoal and Pimenta Bueno in the state of Rondônia, providing subsidies for the implementation of business sustainability indicators for (environmental, social and economic), contribution to the sustainable development of the Amazon, maturing the understanding of the advantages that sustainability can promote in the municipalities under study.
