SUMMARY:

This study involves the dynamics of human intervention of occupation in the Jamari National Forest (Flona), given the possibilities of detailed socio-environmental analyses with the promotion by the availability of computational tools and satellite image databases. Flona has been presenting significant amounts of fires as an occupation component, as well as changes in land use and cover, mainly in its damping zone, due to its relationship with the expansion of the agricultural frontier of the Amazonian "Deforestation Arc" that is affecting the ecological corridor of protected areas of Rondônia, in which Flona is part, associated with the interference of the permission by the legislation for the continuity of cassiterite mining activities in Flona, begun in the 1960s. In this context, the objective is to analyze the socio-environmental dynamics of Flona and its damping zone, with modeling of trends of the numbers of heat foci and the classes of land use and cover of the year 2000, with the institution of the National System of Nature Conservation Units (BRASIL, 2000), to the year 2017, including prediction of scenarios for the years 2030, 2040 and 2050. To achieve the proposed objective, GIS techniques were applied, using land use and land cover change models and algorithms, with the INPE burn databases and the use and soil cover of MapBiomas. The results show a high number of heat foci as an occupation component, mainly in its damping zone, with its decrease coinciding with the emergence of environmental legislation, representing 2324 incidences (52.5%) in the first 6 years of analysis (2000 to 2005) and 2104 incidences (47.5%) in the 12 years following (2006 to 2017). Revegetation in areas degraded by cassiterite mining activity is identified in Flona do Jamari (1,850.58 hectares), as well as the decrease Classes Pasture (0.59%), Hydrography (0.11%), Rural Formation (0.08%) and Temporary Crops (0.04%), remaining the same area for the Mining Class. In the damping zone there was the replacement of 18.62% of the Forest Class by Pasture (11.91%), Hydrography (0.97%), Temporary Crops (0.06%) and Urban Infrastructure (0.04%), as well as the emergence of Soybeanas the new Land Use and Cover Class in 2017 in the damping zone (7,791.82 hectares, 3.25%). The of validation, presents an increase in the intensification of anthropic pressure by the mode of land use with trends in the substitution of areas of the Forest Class, mainly in its damping zone, by areas of the Pasture Classes, Soybeanand Temporary Crops, as well as the stabilization of the areas of mining classes, hydrography and urban infrastructure. These are results that evidence the intense anthropic pressure in The Jamari Flona with the clear pressure in the areas of its damping zone, calling for more efficient protection policies, for its relationship with the expansion of the agricultural frontier of the Amazonian "Deforestation Arc" associated with cassiterite mining activities in Flona.
