This dissertation aims to conduct a quantitative survey of dissertations and theses on gender equity in the teaching of natural sciences in basic education between the years 2013 to 2022. The work is structured in two chapters in article format, the first of which uses a bibliographic review methodology with a qualitative approach. Through a collection of information brings a historical survey of the main scientists and their remarkable contributions to the advancement of knowledge. The second chapter discusses gender equity in science and basic education in Brazil, in addition to presenting a quantitative survey of research focused on basic education that proposed the role of women in science and gender equity. The methodology used in chapter II was the Systematic Literature Review (RSL), to analyse theses and dissertations that discussed gender equity in the teaching of natural sciences in basic education and proposed activities, didactic sequences, among others. The results indicated an increase in the number of works and research directed to basic education, addressing the performance of women in science in the last 10 years in the country (2013-2022). It is concluded that there is still much to be done to promote gender equity in basic education, but that conducting research and proposing pedagogical activities are important steps in this direction.
