CHILDREN AND NATURE: A RELATIONSHIP IN EVERYDAY SPACES
Child Mode. Inventive Play. Public Play Space
This writing sparked thoughts and discoveries, fostering a rediscovery of childhood. Experiencing spaces surrounded by nature requires a return to our origins, our identity built since childhood. Being in a free environment and revisiting these places, looking without pre-determined proposals, allows us to perceive children's exploration of everyday spaces surrounded by nature, where infinite possibilities are built through play. This inspiring environment creates a lighthearted atmosphere that stimulates the imagination in a free, open context, without walls, and without limits to new discoveries. The research was conducted in open spaces frequented by families in the city of Ji-Parana, Rondonia, in public spaces designated for leisure. It was possible to observe the movements in the outdoor spaces, while playing in the city of Ji-Parana. The experience involved both young and old children, with diverse interactions with others and with the environment. To delve into this research, a rhizomatic approach is adopted, with its multiple connections, unpredictable and continuous trajectories, where spaces are created for schizolearning, as well as dialogues with texts that intertwine with childhood, such as those by Benjamin (1984), Agamben (2005), Barros (2011), Chiste (2015), Deleuze and Guattari (1995), Leite (2011), Kohan (2010), Corsaro (2011), Passos; Kastrup, and Escossia (1999, 2007, 2009), Larrosa (2002). The results will be with the main subjects, committed to producing images—filmic and photographic—with their investigation of detailed observations about what they are observing and experiencing behind the lens of a camera, which today is intrinsic, in conjunction with the media. The aim is to share the experiences lived and felt in the spaces where make-believe takes place, where birds become true celebrities, ants are called strong soldiers carrying the green leaves, on a long path, which curiosity continues to contemplate. In this investigative process, contributions will come from children, as researchers, on a journey led with seriousness, creativity, and imagination, composing a writing that arises from these encounters in the childlike mode.
